<p>Journal of English Education and Technology (JEET) is a double-blind peer-reviewed to promoting scholarly exchange among teachers and researchers in the field of English Language Teaching and Technology. JEET publishes the research- based, theoretical, practical article that address matters pertaining to the theory and practice in English language teaching and learning, teaching English as a second or foreign language, English language teachers’ training, English curriculum and Educational technology. The journal is published twice a year in both print and online version. <p><em>While working as language trainer at Cox's Bazar Government College, school teachers from various places of Cox’s Bazar appeared in a training program at Foreign Language Training Center. Most of the teachers acquired their graduates or postgraduate degrees from Bangladesh. For over two years, they were under observation while conducting the training sessions. Since, two languages, Bengali, i.e. L1 and English, i.e. L2 are different in many ways, culturally; it is always a challenge to apply both languages to facilitate classes for the students who are learning English. As an observer, I found it out that L1 always interfered with L2 in English Language Teaching classes. This hindrance made it difficult for the listeners to successfully achieve the goals of Language Teaching. Mother tongue interference was a theoretically common problem in a situation where both languages operate in the same classroom. Therefore, it is necessary to identify what are the areas responsible for the interference. In the present study, we tried to identify the various linguistic features of L2 which appeared challenging, when language teachers go through a constant transfer between L1 to L2 while teaching. Also, this paper attempts to explore possible pragmatics to overcome the difficulties that hinder language teaching of the school teachers at various levels. </em></p>J D Milton
